Personal History Kiera McAlister, born in the home of her ancestors in the Highlands of Scotland, had always been surrounded by a rich tapestry of history. She is number three of fourteen children, born to her father's second wife of five. Kiera found solace and companionship in her large family. Despite the large gap in age between her and her youngest brother, Alister II, their bond remained unbreakable.

Her father, a man deeply rooted in the past, had built his home as symbolic, fiercely guarding it from the outside world. The McAlister clan, one of the few that still retained their ancestral lands, maintained their Scottish traditions. Throwing cabers, wearing kilts, defending their lands and sword training. The men believe their woman are to be treasured.

Alex believes as his father before him did that their children learn of their past, that they know where they come from and also are knowledgeable about computers, space exploration and the world around them.

Kiera's father, a mysterious man of many secrets, held numerous lucrative business ventures that he kept hidden from prying eyes.

Education was highly valued in Kiera's family, and from an early age, she was immersed in a world of learning. As soon as she learned her letters, she was enrolled in school, her parents' belief being that their children should have the freedom to choose their paths in life. Alex does not live in the past, he believes in Starfleet and exploration. He just believes the McAlister past is important as well.

Kiera discovered her passion for protecting others, watching her father's men as they practiced swordplay and hand-to-hand combat. As she grew older, Kiera sensed her father's hidden depths and respected the privacy he fiercely guarded.

Her upbringing instilled in her a deep knowledge of the McAlister family's past, training her in the traditions that had defined them for centuries. Additionally, she and her siblings possessed an impressive understanding of the Federation, along with a keen interest in space exploration.

Often she would go camping with her siblings in the woods, sleep in tents and enjoy nature, fishing and telling scary stories around the fire.

However, it was during a cozy night spent gathered around the campfire that surprising conversations unfolded. Rory, a boy of determination and ambition, shared his dreams of joining the world of intelligence once he graduated. Kiera, intrigued by the idea, spoke up about her aspiration to become Starfleet Security Officer.

The notion caught Kiera's attention, sparking a newfound interest in her future path. Kiera's closest friend, Aileen O'Reilly, had been by her side since they were young. Their fathers, who were good friends themselves, had forged a strong connection between the two families. Kiera and Aileen made a solemn promise to one another during this camping trip - they would embark on a grand adventure together and join Starfleet. Aileen aimed to become a brilliant scientist, a prospect Kiera found admittedly less thrilling, but she understood that it was Aileen's passion.

As the four weeks in the wilderness drew to a close, Kiera felt a new sense of purpose and excitement. The camping trip had taught her valuable skills and ignited her curiosity about the world beyond their secluded adventure. She couldn't wait to return home and research the possibilities of a career in security, embracing the newfound path suggested by Alister.

Kiera's determination to become a Starfleet Officer grew stronger with each passing day. Aileen, equally driven, delved into her scientific studies with an insatiable curiosity. Together, they nurtured their dreams, aspiring to make their mark in Starfleet.

Kiera was sixteen when her father, Captain Reynolds, made an important decision. He was preparing to take his son, Rory, to Starfleet Academy to pursue his dream of becoming a Starfleet officer. Kiera and her closest friend, Aileen, were intrigued by the idea of joining their father on this journey.

With their father's permission, the girls accompanied him to the Academy to get a glimpse of life as a cadet. The bustling campus, filled with eager students and state-of-the-art facilities, left a lasting impression on both Kiera and Aileen. They were captivated by the discipline, the camaraderie, and the sense of purpose that permeated the air.

On the trip back home, as the shuttle carried them across idyllic countryside, Kiera’s father shared with her one of the secrets he held. He was not just a Scotland Highlander. He had dealings with Starfleet. Alex wanted his daughter to start training with his men so she would have a head start when she went to the academy and often she would see strangers training beside her.

Alex explained that his dealings with Starfleet went beyond the training. This was one of those secrets Starfleet kept as a backup plan in case of an extreme emergency. "My involvement with Starfleet goes beyond training cadets. That there were are missions, assignments, and risks many faced in the line of duty. The less she knew the better.

Kiera respected her father and asked no more. Alex knew Kiera had inherited his sense of duty and love for the Federation. As they continued their journey, they shared stories of triumph and sacrifice, dreams and aspirations, forging a stronger bond between father and daughter.

From that day forward, Kiera trained rigorously alongside her father's men, learning skills that would one day aid her in becoming a part of Starfleet. She embraced the challenges, knowing that her journey had only just begun. And as she continued to grow, Kiera carried her father's legacy in her heart, ready to step into the unknown and uphold the values of the Federation.
Kiera's parents were believers in providing their children with a well-rounded education. They understood that in order to succeed in life, one must possess a diverse set of skills and experiences. As such, they ensured that Kiera and her siblings had the opportunity to explore various interests and hobbies.

From an early age, Kiera showed great promise in many areas. Whether it was cooking, survival tactics or training for her future, she constantly impressed her parents with her dedication and talent. However, there was one aspect of life in which Kiera struggled - domestic chores like laundry and sewing.
While her friends spent their weekends learning how to mend clothes or operate washing machines, Kiera found herself more interested in honing her combat skills. She was enchanted by tales of brave warriors and dreamt of a future where she could protect others and fight for justice.
Her passion for security with Starfleet led her to train beside her father’s men and learn their daily regiment. She was also talented with horses, which in her future occupation would not be used much if at all it was useful at home.
Kiera had always been a star student. From the time she could hold a pencil, she excelled in every subject and delighted in learning new things. As she progressed through school, her curiosity and dedication to her education only grew stronger.

But Kiera's success in school wasn't just limited to her academics. She had a knack for making friends wherever she went. She wasn't a diva or a cheerleader type, but she had a magnetic personality that drew people towards her. She was kind, genuine, and had a great sense of humor.

One of Kiera's biggest passions was sports, particularly football and soccer. She loved the thrill of watching her team compete against others. Often in the evenings, she and her best friend Aileen would do their homework together, helping each other with difficult assignments, and then head off to support their favorite teams.

Not only did Kiera excel in her studies and have a tight-knit group of friends, but she also had a great social life. She thoroughly enjoyed the school dances and the occasional gatherings that her parents would throw. She was never one to shy away from a good time and always made those around her feel welcome.

As high school came to a close, many of Kiera's classmates started feeling anxious about leaving their homes and families. But Kiera was different. She embraced the future that lay ahead of her with open arms. She was excited for the next chapter of her life and all the possibilities it held.

When the time came to say her goodbyes, Kiera felt a mix of emotions. Leaving her loved ones behind was bittersweet, but she knew that it was the right path for her. She packed her bags and headed off to Starfleet Academy with Aileen by her side.
Easton Brooks:
Kiera and Easton were both young and ambitious, their lives intertwined in the rugged land of the Scottish Highlands.
They found themselves working side by side in the same field, training under Kiera's father, who was known far and wide for his expertise in the art of combat.

As the days turned into weeks and then into months, Kiera and Easton grew closer and discovered a deep connection that went beyond friendship.
They shared long conversations under the starry night sky, finding solace in each other's company. It was not long before their friendship blossomed into a sweet romance.

Kiera's heart swelled with love as she imagined a future where they would serve together in Starfleet, both of them fulfilling their dreams and making a difference in the lives of others. She dreamed of exploring new territories.

Kiera started to question their dreams when Easton got upset over her talking to a male friend or even when sh3 spent time with Aileen. Easton would ask her why he wasnt good enough to be her one and only, not wanting to share her with anyone.
Their relationship developed, cracks in the foundation of their love. Easton's insecurities and jealousy began to overshadow the beautiful connection they once shared. He grew resentful of Kiera's talent and dedication, feeling overshadowed by her achievements. Slowly, the sweet romance they had built turned sour. Easton showed his jealousy and needed to be the only one in her life.
Kiera tried to salvage their love, but Easton's behavior worsened with time, causing pain and sadness. She could no longer ignore the toxic energy that surrounded their relationship. With a heavy heart, she made the painful decision to end things with Easton, realizing that their connection had become toxic and unhealthy.

But love, even in its darkest form, has a way of drawing out fierce protectiveness from those who care deeply. Kiera's father, having witnessed the deterioration of his daughter's happiness, felt a great surge of anger towards Easton. The man who had once been a part of their lives was now a source of misery for Kiera.
Filled with righteous fury, Kiera's father confronted Easton and warned him of the consequences if he ever returned to Scotland. His words were a stern reminder that Kiera was fiercely protected, cherished, and loved beyond measure.
Aileen Murray:
Kiera's closest friend growing up was Aileen McDonald. Their friendship blossomed from the moment they met, as their fathers worked together, creating a bond that seemed destined to last a lifetime. Together, they embarked on countless adventures, exploring the lush green landscapes of the Scottish countryside, and creating memories that would be etched deep in their hearts.

From a young age, Kiera and Aileen were inseparable. They would spend their school breaks and weekends exploring every nook and cranny they could find. Whether it was climbing trees, collecting wildflowers, or building forts out of fallen branches, the two girls always found their way into mischief.

However, despite their unwavering friendship, Kiera and Aileen were not without their fair share of disagreements. Like any pair of friends, they occasionally found themselves in heated arguments. Their voices would rise, echoing through the countryside as they passionately defended their differing opinions.

Whenever Kiera and Aileen fought, it seemed like the world stopped around them. The entire village knew of their disputes, as their passionate arguments could be heard from miles away. One of them would inevitably declare that they would never speak to the other again, storming off in opposite directions. But it never lasted long.

Undoubtedly, within hours, Kiera and Aileen would find themselves missing each other terribly. The silence between them felt unbearable, and the realization that they couldn't share their secrets and laughter with anyone else was enough to bring them back together. They would meet atop their secret hill, overlooking the town, where apologies would be exchanged and tears would be wiped away.

As the years passed, Kiera and Aileen grew closer, their bond becoming unbreakable. They supported each other through the challenges of adolescence, offering a shoulder to cry on and providing unwavering encouragement. Their friendship was a safe haven in a world that seemed volatile and unpredictable.

Aileen was always there to listen to Kiera's grand ideas, even if they seemed outlandish or impossible. She would encourage her friend to dream big, to explore her passions, and to never settle for anything less than what she truly desired.

Together, Kiera and Aileen dreamed of a future filled with endless possibilities. They would spend countless nights under the twinkling stars, discussing their ambitions and aspirations. Kiera's creativity flourished and grew, fueled by Aileen's unwavering belief in her abilities.
As Kiera and Aileen were preparing for graduation, their excitement grew with each passing day. Both girls had big dreams and aspirations, and they couldn't wait to embark on their next journey at Starfleet Academy. Kiera had always been fascinated with the idea of protecting others, so she decided to pursue a career in Security. Aileen, on the other hand, had a keen interest in the wonders of science and was determined to become a brilliant scientist.

Throughout their years of friendship, Kiera and Aileen had always supported each other's decisions wholeheartedly. Whether it was Aileen's countless hours spent in the lab or Kiera's intense physical training for the security corps, they were always there for one another. There was an unbreakable bond between them, formed through shared experiences and countless conversations.
One event that would forever remain etched in Kiera's heart was when she went through a painful breakup with Easton, her first love. It was an emotionally tumultuous period for her, and she felt lost and broken. But in the midst of her despair, Aileen stood by her side, offering unwavering support and understanding.

Aileen knew exactly what Kiera needed during that time – a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and distractions to keep her mind occupied. She would often surprise Kiera with impromptu outings, taking her to their favorite spots and engaging her in fun activities. Gradually, Kiera began to heal, finding solace in Aileen's unwavering presence and their shared laughter.

During one of their outings, Aileen suggested they take a road trip to a secluded cabin in the mountains. Kiera hesitated at first, unsure if she was ready to leave the safety and comfort of their town. But Aileen insisted, assuring her that the change of scenery would be good for both of them.

As they journeyed to the cabin, the familiar landscapes slowly transformed into breathtaking mountain ranges. Kiera marveled at the majestic views outside the car window, feeling a sense of tranquility and serenity wash over her. It was as if nature itself was reminding her of the beauty that still existed in the world.
Once they arrived home, they finished up their education. They were both excited to be accepted at Starfleet Academy and headed off to fulfill their dreams.
Academy: 2387-2390
Kiera and Aileen, lifelong friends, had finally settled into their dorm room, ecstatic to be sharing this new chapter of their lives together. As their classes started, they both worked tirelessly to excel in their studies. While Kiera found the seemingly endless bookwork a little tedious, she always reminded herself of the valuable lesson her parents had taught her - that true security encompassed more than just academic training.

Kiera understood the importance of balance, and so she made it a point to take breaks and relax. Often, she would pull Aileen away from her books, leading her to the local eatery where they would hang out with other cadets or find a lively party to attend. They always made sure to heed the warnings given to them about drinking responsibly and never consuming anything that wasn't opened right in front of them.
It was during their third year at the academy that Kiera had the opportunity to return the favor Aileen had once given her. Aileen's heart had been shattered into a thousand pieces, leaving her emotionally fragile and vulnerable. Kiera stood steadfastly by her side, supporting and helping her friend pick up the scattered remnants of her life, piece by piece. Their bond only grew stronger through this experience, as Kiera discovered the power of friendship in healing wounds and mending broken hearts.

Deep in her heart, Kiera missed her home and family, just as Aileen did. The sea of emotions within her began to churn, torn between following her dreams and staying comfortably settled within the familiarity of home. Unable to contain her turmoil any longer, Kiera sought solace in contacting her mother, pouring out her fears, doubts, and desires. The following day, to her surprise, Kiera's father arrived, a beacon of support and inspiration. He sat her down and delivered a heartfelt pep talk, reminding her that life's greatest adventures lie beyond comfort zones and that true happiness blooms when we dare to chase our dreams.

With renewed clarity and determination, Kiera made the decision to embark on the path she had always yearned for. She realized that she wouldn't be truly happy settling for a life confined to the comforts of home, only to wonder endlessly about the experiences she could have had elsewhere.
The day of their graduation arrived, filling the air with a mixture of apprehension and excitement. As fate had it, Kiera and Aileen were assigned to different ships, set to pursue their dreams in separate corners of the galaxy. But before they embarked on their journeys, they were granted a two-week break to return home and soak up precious moments with their families.

Kiera and Aileen made the most of these two weeks, cherishing the time spent with the people who had watched them grow into the determined young women they had become. Home cooked meals were savored, heartfelt conversations were shared, and laughter echoed through the familiar halls of their childhood residences.

The inevitable moment of departure finally arrived, prompting tearful goodbyes and promises of staying connected across the vast expanse of space. Kiera and Aileen stood tall and proud, ready to embrace the challenges that lay ahead while carrying the unwavering support of their lifelong friendship within their hearts.
It was then that Kiera said a silent thanks to her father. He was the ond who motivated her to continue on. That and Kita carried with her lessons she learned from her failed relationship with Easton, she would be more cautious in the future. Kiera no longer stood as a child with rose colored glasses she was an adult embarking on her future.

As different ships carried them away to unknown destinations, Kiera and Aileen embarked on their separate adventures, each navigating their own unique paths. Distance may have physically separated them, but the memories they shared, the lessons they learned, and the bond they forged would forever tie them together.

And so, with stars as their witness, Kiera and Aileen set sail to explore the mysterious wonders of the universe, destined to leave their footprints in galaxies far and wide, knowing that their friendship would forever anchor them to the love and understanding they found in each other.
USS Montague : 2390-2393
In 2390, Kiera knew the moment she was transported onto the USS Montague that she had made the right decision. The hum of the starship's engines, the bustling of crew members, and the vibrant atmosphere enveloped her with a sense of purpose that she had longed for. Eager to contribute, she quickly settled into a routine.

As expected over the first few months, Kiera was assigned to mundane tasks such as counting the weapons and supplies and guard duty in the brig. While some might have found these tasks dull, Kiera approached each one with unwavering dedication. She remembered the lessons back home during her rigorous training, where her instructors emphasized the importance of treating every duty as the most vital one on the ship.

Gradually, Kiera's perseverance paid off, and she was assigned to a security team. Her first away mission arrived sooner than she expected, presenting her with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Kiera gave herself a mental pep talk, reminding herself to stay focused and perform to the best of her abilities. It was the first of many missions in her first year on the USS Montague.

As fate often does, what was supposed to be a routine mission quickly turned into a fierce firefight. As chaos erupted around her, Kiera's training and instincts took over. Her swift actions and sharp shooting skills ensured the survival of her team members. She valiantly protected their first officer, shielding them from harm and helping him to a safe place until reinforcements arrived.

Kiera's bravery and selflessness did not go unnoticed. Her superiors recognized her exceptional performance and rewarded her with a well-deserved promotion. Kiera was soon promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade, a testament to her exemplary dedication and commitment to the safety of the crew.

As the next couple of years passed, Kiera's reputation continued to soar. She began serving on the bridge, pulling the challenging graveyard shift. Despite the late hours, Kiera poured her heart and soul into her responsibilities. She demonstrated unwavering focus and a keen eye for potential security threats, earning the respect of her fellow crew members.
In 2393, Kiera received news of her transfer to the USS Saginaw, a renowned starship with a reputation for its exceptional security forces. Along with her transfer came another promotion: Assistant Security Chief. This new position brought with it increased responsibilities, but Kiera was more than ready to face the challenges ahead.

USS Saginaw: 2393 - 2395
Kiera had always known that her Scottish heritage was a part of her identity. It ran deep in her veins, and she carried it proudly wherever she went. When she joined the crew of the USS Saginaw, little did she know that her bloodline would play a significant role in her journey.

From the moment Chief Patrick Scott discovered Kiera's connection to the McAlister clan, there was an instant bond between them. It was as if they shared a secret language, an unspoken understanding that transcended the ranks. Chief Scott, himself a proud Scotsman, recognized Kiera's value and potential, and he made it his mission to mentor her.
One area that Kiera needed to work on was her stubbornness. She had always been a headstrong individual, unwilling to back down from her beliefs or ideas. This trait had served her well in the past, earning her respect and success in her previous endeavors. However, serving on a starship was an entirely different ballgame. The crew was made up of people from diverse backgrounds, each with their own set of skills and experiences.

At times, Kiera found it difficult to accept criticism or consider alternative viewpoints. When her ideas were challenged or when she made a mistake, she would take it personally, feeling as if her competence was being questioned.

Kiera was grateful for the chief's guidance and took every opportunity to learn from him. Together, they tackled the challenges of the USS Saginaw,, working side by side to ensure the safety and security of the crew. Kiera's dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed, and she quickly became an indispensable asset to the team.

But it wasn't just her skills that made Kiera stand out. Her friendly and approachable personality endeared her to everyone on board. She had a knack for connecting with people, offering a sympathetic ear and a kind word whenever it was needed. The security officers found solace in her presence, knowing that they had someone they could trust and confide in.

Time flew by, and Kiera's efforts paid off when she was promoted to Lieutenant. It was a proud moment for both her and Chief Scott, who had watched her grow into a capable leader. But the journey was far from over.

Six months later, a position opened up on the esteemed USS Albany, and Kiera was determined to take on this new challenge. With the full support of Captain Fuller and Chief Scott, she applied for the position, armed with their heartfelt recommendations.

Leaving the crew of the USS Saginaw was bittersweet. Kiera had formed deep and lasting friendships during her time there, and the thought of saying goodbye left a pang in her heart. But Kiera reassured her friends that distance wouldn't dissolve their bonds. She promised to keep in touch, reminding them that true friendship knows no boundaries.

USS Albany: 2395 - 2399
In 2395, Kiera settled into her role as the Security Chief on the USS Albany, a sleek and advanced starship. Unfortunately, the crew on this particular vessel were a stark contrast to her previous assignment aboard the Saginaw. The Saginaw's crew had been a tight-knit family, where friendships were forged effortlessly. In contrast, the crew of the USS Albany seemed colder and more distant. Kiera couldn't help but feel like an outsider, unsure if she would ever be able to establish the camaraderie she longed for.

Months passed, and Kiera's sense of isolation deepened. She contemplated requesting a transfer, convinced that her presence was superfluous on a ship where she felt so unwelcome. But just as she found herself approaching the precipice of despair, fate intervened one fateful evening. Keira would have requested a transfer but it felt like giving up, a mark on her own personal record.

As Kiera entered the mess hall, her usual spot at a solitary table beckoned to her. She grabbed her dinner and took a seat, resigned to her solitude. Moments later, a shadow passed over her, catching her attention. She looked up, her eyes meeting those of a stranger with warm brown eyes. Flustered, she found herself momentarily speechless. Kiera heard his words but she was too shocked to answer. A

Kiera's face flushed, and she managed a shy nod. The stranger, Arden Stewart, pulled out a chair and sat across from her. As they began to converse, an initial discomfort hung in the air. However, as they continued to talk, they discovered shared interests and experiences that bridged the gap between them.

Days turned into weeks, and Kiera and Arden's interactions became a cherished part of each day. They found solace in each other's company, slowly building a bond that went beyond friendship. Kiera was drawn to Arden's calming presence and his ability to understand her without judgment.
One day, as they strolled through the ship, Arden nervously suggested a date. Kiera, surprised yet elated, agreed without hesitation. From that moment on, they became more than just colleagues; they were a couple navigating the uncharted territories of a budding romance.
As time passed, Kiera found herself falling for Arden, a mix of excitement and trepidation filling her heart. She couldn't help but remember her previous relationship with Easton, where she had thrown caution to the wind and had her heart broken in return. Determined not to repeat past mistakes, Kiera tried to rein in her emotions, cautiously guarding her vulnerability.
As Kiera's first year aboard the starship passed, her relationship with Arden deepened in ways she never expected. They spent most nights together in Arden's quarters, which, as the second officer, were a bit more roomy and comfortable than her own.
In the early months of 2397, Kiera started feeling unwell and decided to visit the ship's sickbay for some answers. Never would she have imagined that her visit would reveal such life-altering news – she was going to have a baby.
Overwhelmed with a mix of emotions, Kiera decided to plan a special dinner for Arden. It was a rare opportunity for them to sit down and talk openly about their future, their baby, and the possibilities awaiting them.
As they enjoyed their meal, Kiera nervously broached the subject, announcing her pregnancy. At first, Arden's face lit up with joy, but then, as if struck by some sudden thought, he nonchalantly suggested they get married.
Stunned, Kiera's happiness momentarily ebbed as fear gripped her heart. Thoughts raced through her mind, wondering if marrying solely for the sake of the baby was the right thing to do. She shook her head slowly, unable to fully grasp the weight of the words as she told him she wasn't ready.
A flicker of disappointment crossed Arden's face, but he respected her honesty. He knew Kiera well enough to understand that she craved a love match, one founded on the deep connection they had nurtured over time.
Kiera peered into Arden's eyes as she told him she wanted to be sure when the got married it was because they both wholeheartedly choose each other, that love was the reason.
Arden's disappointment melted into admiration as he realized the strength of character Kiera possessed. He understood her need for certainty, for a foundation built not only on responsibility but on love as well.
In late 2397, in a bustling space station in the heart of the Andromeda galaxy, Kiera gave birth to a bundle of joy named Jack. As her exhausted body lay on the medical bed, Kiera's eyes met her newborn son's for the very first time. Overwhelmed by a surge of emotions, love poured out of her like a steady stream, filling every part of her being.
Arden, her partner, stood by her side, equally captivated by their new addition. Jack, with his tiny fingers and rosebud lips, seemed to hold a world of possibilities in his soft, innocent gaze. Time seemed to stand still as the couple embraced the magnitude of this new chapter in their lives.
For the first few months, Kiera decided to take time off work to fully immerse herself in the wonders of motherhood. Every day was a voyage of discovery as she watched Jack's first smile, listened to his bubbly laughter, and marveled at his curious expressions. The bond between mother and son grew immeasurably, nourished by countless hours of cuddles, lullabies, and tender care.
However, as the weeks melted into months, Kiera slowly began to realize that a part of her yearned for something beyond the confines of their cozy home. The desire to contribute to the security of their family, not just emotionally but also economically, tugged at her heartstrings. She missed the exhilaration of her work, the sense of purpose it gave her.
Together, Kiera and Arden embarked on a journey of balancing their parental duties with their professional aspirations. They meticulously crafted schedules, weaving them like intricate threads in an interstellar tapestry, ensuring that Jack was always cared for by one of them. As Kiera ventured back into the realm of security, Arden stepped up to share in the responsibility, treasuring their son with as much love and devotion as Kiera had.
But, as with all endeavors, challenges crept into their carefully woven plans. Oftentimes, work would demand both Kiera and Arden's presence simultaneously, like stars colliding in the vast expanse of the galaxy. On these rare occasions, when their schedules collided, Kiera and Arden entrusted Jack's care to the ship's daycare. The staff, a compassionate blend of robotic companions and nurturing humanoid aliens, provided a second home for Jack, one filled with laughter, exploration, and moments of pure delight.
Over the next year, as Kiera and Arden journeyed through the tumultuous path of their relationship, they showered their son with an overwhelming amount of love. Although their bond was strained at times, they both strived to create a stable and secure environment for their little one.
Arden yearned for more commitment, envisioning a future where they would be bound in marital bliss. Kiera, on the other hand, harbored reservations, wondering if Arden's feelings were grounded in the right place. This internal conflict persisted, creating subtle fissures in their relationship
It was a frosty evening in the winter of 2398 when Kiera first noticed that something wasn't right. A wave of nausea overcame her, and she immediately began to suspect the unthinkable - she was pregnant. However, her excitement was bittersweet, as Arden was scheduled to embark on an important away mission.
In her heart, Kiera yearned to share the news with Arden, to tell him that they were expecting another baby and that she was finally ready to commit herself to marriage. But the burden of fairness weighed heavily upon her shoulders. She didn't want to distract him from his crucial duties while he prepared to leave the ship.
Promising herself that she would have the conversation as soon as he returned, Kiera suppressed her eagerness and patiently awaited his homecoming. However, fate had other plans in store. News of Arden's demise reached her before she could utter a single word. Phasers had claimed his life during a devastating conflict on the distant planet.
Devastation engulfed Kiera, tearing at the very fabric of her soul. The weight of guilt pressed upon her heart as she grappled with the fact that she hadn't confessed her feelings to Arden or informed him of their impending parenthood. Regret seeped through every pore, a constant reminder of missed opportunities.
Kiera mourned the loss of her children's father, her anguish permeating every corner of her existence. Yet, in the midst of her grief, she found the strength to pull herself together. She chose not to let sorrow define her, but rather, to become a symbol of resilience and unwavering love.
In the year 2399, Kiera gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, whom she named Ainsley. Although Arden wasn't physically present to witness Ainsley's arrival, his memory lingered in the depths of Kiera's heart. With an unbreakable determination, she vowed to raise her children with boundless love, ensuring that they would grow up knowing the impact their father had on their lives.
USS Raleigh: 2399 - 2402
In the year 2399, Keira found herself boarding the USS Raleigh, the starship that would now be her home. As she bid farewell to the few friends she had made on the USS Albany, a sense of anticipation mixed with a twinge of sadness washed over her. Keira was taking on a new role as the ship's Security and second officer, bringing her expertise and determination to this new chapter of her career.
The crew of the USS Albany had been a hardworking bunch, focused solely on their duties, leaving little room for camaraderie to flourish. Keira felt a sense of relief knowing that she was leaving that behind. Everywhere she turned, there were reminders of Arden. Her children never really knowing their father bothered her deeply. Seeing someone else occupying his position and living in his quarters brought forth a bittersweet ache within her heart. Keira knew it was time for her to move on and embrace the fresh challenges awaiting her.
As she settled into her new surroundings, Keira couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of purpose. The USS Raleigh, humming with quiet energy, held an air of possibility and adventure. The ship's sleek design and advanced technology seemed to pulse with the promise of the unknown.
Keira's apprehension about the move slowly dissolved as she watched her children, Jack and Ainsley, explore their newfound spacious quarters with unfiltered excitement. Their infectious joy warmed her heart, reminding her that change can often lead to unexpected blessings.
It was in the midst of unpacking that Keira's chime suddenly rang out, breaking the peaceful silence of her new quarters. With a curious frown, she hurried to the door, wondering who it could be so soon after her arrival. As the doors slid open, Keira gasped in surprise at the sight before her.
Standing there, her eyes twinkling with mischievous delight, was Aileen. Though Kiera talked to her through sub space she hadn’t seen her since they graduated from the Academy. Kiera felt the tears flow as they sat and talked about their lives.
Kiera's first day on the USS Raleigh was nothing short of overwhelming. As she stepped into her assigned quarters, she was greeted by a welcome basket filled with exotic fruits and a handwritten note from the crew members. The sense of warmth and hospitality from her new colleagues made her feel instantly at ease.
Throughout the day, as Kiera wandered through the winding halls of the spacecraft, crew members passing by greeted her with smiles and friendly hellos. It was as if she had known them for years, even though they had just met. The genuine camaraderie among the crew members was infectious, and Kiera couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging.
As days turned into weeks, Kiera and Aileen found themselves stealing moments of solitude to catch up on their lives since the Academy. It was during one of these heart-to-heart conversations that Kiera confided in Aileen about the overwhelming guilt she felt over the loss of her lover, Arden. She shared her feelings of remorse for not being able to share their pregnancy and to tell him she wanted to get married.
Aileen, with her empathetic nature, listened patiently and sympathetically to Kiera's words. She gently suggested that Kiera should consider seeking the help of the ships counselor to navigate through her emotions and find solace. However, Kiera stubbornly believed that seeking counseling would be a sign of weakness, fearing her newfound crew would view her differently.
Days turned into weeks, and Kiera's emotional turmoil became increasingly difficult to bear. It was then that she received a call from her father. In their heartfelt conversation, her father shared his own experience of seeking emotional support from a counselor to navigate grief, and how it had helped him find some semblance of peace years earlier when her mother had passed.
Inspired by her father's words, Kiera finally mustered the courage to make an appointment with the ships counselor. It was a daunting step for her, but deep inside, she knew it was necessary for her own healing and growth. In the safe and supportive environment of the counselor's office, Kiera began the journey of slowly untangling her guilt and grief.
Weeks turned into months, and as Kiera worked on healing her emotional wounds, she also made a conscious effort to showcase her leadership abilities and competence during away missions. She immersed herself in her duties, going above and beyond what was expected of her. Her determination and dedication did not go unnoticed by her fellow crew members
Kiera was a woman who cherished every moment she had with her children. She understood the value of time and the importance of making lasting memories. When she wasn't working, she devoted all her energy to being the best mother she could be.
Her two children, Jack and Ainsley, were the center of Kiera's world. Jack,, her eldest, possessed a wild imagination and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. On the other hand, Ainsley, her younger child , possessed an adventurous spirit that made their outings filled with laughter and excitement.
USS Endeavor
Kiera stood tall in her newly adorned uniform, the golden Lieutenant Commander insignia gleaming proudly on her chest. It had been a long and rewarding journey for her in Starfleet, and as she transferred to the USS Endeavor, her excitement was palpable.
The USS Endeavor was a majestic starship, known for its daring expeditions and its esteemed crew. Kiera knew that she was about to join a team of dedicated individuals, each with their own unique talents and skills. She was determined to bring her very best to the ship, to contribute her expertise and make a difference in the vast expanse of space.
Amidst the exhilaration of her new post, Kiera felt a sense of relief wash over her. Her children, Jack and Ainsley had managed the move remarkably well. They had always been a part of the McAlister Clan, a family of born travelers, so adjusting to a new environment came naturally to them
Kiera was grateful for their resilience, for it allowed her to concentrate fully on her responsibilities without worrying about their well-being.
Despite the support of her family and friends, who encouraged her to explore the possibility of dating, Kiera knew deep inside that she was not ready for a romantic relationship. She had spent years grappling with her emotions, working through the guilt that had plagued her. Now, she had finally reached a point where her emotions were in a good place, and she was not willing to jeopardize that. Dating, at this point, was simply not in the cards for her.
As her first year on the USS Endeavor passed, Kiera found her heart open to wanting to date again. She went out a couple of times, but neither of the guys felt like a match to her. Kiera wanted someone who could accept her children and her desire to be a command officer one day.
As she worked hard at her job and balanced it with being a mother, Kiera got a surprise. One day, she was called into Captain Damien Jones' office. Intrigued and slightly nervous, she walked in, finding the captain engrossed in his paperwork. He looked up, smiled warmly, and motioned for her to take a seat. Kiera's heart raced with anticipation. The captain informed that he had been observing her dedication and skills as an officer while on the ship. He further informed her he had recommended her for the Command Academy, in preparation for her own ship.
Kiera's jaw dropped in astonishment. The Command Academy was renowned throughout the galaxy for its rigorous training program, shaping officers into competent captains.
Finally, the day arrived when they boarded a spaceship bound for Planet Rosa. Kiera couldn't help but feel a mix of nervousness and excitement as they headed to the Command Academy.
Command Academy: 2404 - 2404
Kiera arrived at the prestigious academy, her heart filled with both excitement and apprehension. It had been a long journey to get here, but she knew that this was the next step in fulfilling her dreams. As she lugged her luggage towards the housing she had found for her and her children, Kiera couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and determination. She was not like other students at the academy - she was a mother, and her love for her children was her driving force.

Once settled into their new home, Kiera wasted no time in finding a nanny to watch over her children while she attended her classes. It was a difficult decision to make; her parents had offered to take care of the kids for the duration of her studies. But Kiera couldn't bear the thought of being away from them for such a long time. She yearned to be there for every step of their journey, just as they were there for hers.

Within the walls of the academy, Kiera discovered a whole new world of knowledge and opportunity. It was here that she met Harry Anderson, a fellow student who exuded charm and confidence. From the moment their eyes met, there was an undeniable connection between them. Kiera found herself drawn to him, and it seemed that the feeling was mutual.

But they both agreed to wait before introducing their children to each other. The academy was rigorous, and their focus needed to be on their studies. Kiera understood this, but she couldn't help but feel a longing to know Harry's children as well. She knew the importance of blended families, having grown up in one herself. She wanted to give her children the chance to experience that same sense of unity and love.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months as Kiera and Harry immersed themselves in their studies. And finally, the day of graduation arrived, bringing with it a mix of relief and anticipation. As they received their assignments, Kiera's heart skipped a beat. She and Harry were both assigned to Valahall Fleet Yards - a stroke of luck that she couldn't quite believe.

Harry would be on the USS Hangzhou, assuming the position of command, and Kiera would be in charge of the USS Ottawa. The excitement of their assignments was heightened by the fact that they would continue to be a part of each other's lives.

USS Ottawa
As Kiera once again headed to her new assignment, she couldn't wait for the future ahead of her. The command of the USS Ottawa as well as the promise of a future for her and Harry filled her with anticipation. It had been a long journey for both of them, but they had finally found each other and were ready to build a life together.

As Kiera left Planet Rosa, along with her children, , she couldn't help but reflect on the challenges they had overcome. Both of them were seasoned officers in the fleet, having dedicated their lives to protect and explore the vast expanse of the galaxy. But amidst the chaos of their respective careers, love had found a way to bring them together.

She couldn’t wait for the day when Harry met her children. It would be the beginning for them, she just knew it. Having them both assigned to the fleet yards had been a sign that they were meant to have a future together.
