| Personal History | Juliette was born the only child to a wealthy family near Starfleet on Earth. Her parents sent her to an all girls school where she excelled at her subjects, until she entered middle school and insisted on attending the local school where she met and became friens with Sarah Sanchez. Juliette graduated in the top of her class and was sent to law school where she graduated with top honors. She applied and was hired as legal council for a prominent attorney and that was where she met and married Thornton Maynard, the head of the intelligence head for Starfleet. Though her husband wanted her to quit her job and start a family, Juliette had other plans. Juliette soon learned that Thornton was a part of a growing faction that believed certain species were better than others and should have the greater influence in the Federation. Juliette was good at listening and used that asset to do what she could to help balance things out so her husband and his friends would not succeed, all the while playing the dutiful wife who was clueless to what went on in the Universe around her, only being concerned with her job at the law office. After several years of marriage, Juliette woke up and heard yelling coming from the first level of their home. She snuck out of her room and saw her husband in an argument with several masked people in the foyer of their home. Before she could react one of them shot him. Juliette found a place to hide until they left. This was a turning point in her life. With his position open, Juliette ran and was elected to her husband's position and served in that capacity until she heard of the Shadow Council. She had gotten so good at pretense. Coming across as a wall flower, someone who was easily led, a person most felt comfortable discussing most anything in front of as well as someone they would take into their confidence. Juliette knew that being on the council would be perfect for her and she could help keep the balance they needed in the Universe. She also knew with her father being a huge contractor for Starfleet and her uncle sitting on the Cabinet she had contacts that she would be able to glean information from should she need it. |
