| Personal History | Willian was born in 2371 to Starfleet Officers Danheel and Beatrix aboard the USS Galaxy. Due to the dangers of shipboard service, Danheel and Beatrix both requested transfer and were approved to serve aboard Deep Space Nine with Willian moving with them. With the outbreak of the Dominion War, Beatrix was transferred to Starfleet Medical on Earth and Willan went with her while his father remained on Deep Space Nine. Willian was nearly killed during the Breen attack on Earth at the end of the war and his father, Danheel, requested transfer to Earth to assist with the rebuilding process. This reuniting of their family was shortlived when Danheel returned to Starship service and was assigned to the USS Sovereign. Willian went with his father in 2379 where he underwent schooling there as his mother remained at Starfleet Medical during this time period, but would later join them during a civilian tenure. Undergoing extensive training, unlike that of other students, Willian was given enhanced training aboard the Sovereign including vocational technical training in Starfleet service. Unlike his father, Willian chose to study a technical track and learned about the propulsion systems of the Sovereign under Chief Brex. With the support of the Sovereign's crew, Willian entered Starfleet Academy in 2389 where he continued his studies on the Operations track against his father's wishes. Unbeknownst to Willian, his father secretly manipulated his son's training to ensure that he was given enhanced training and inducted into Red Squad. In 2391 he is assigned to the USS Voyager for his Cadet Cruise as a trainee Operations Manager. During his assignment he assisted in the investigation into the bombing of the Peace Conference between the Klingon Empire and the Gorn at Deep Space Station K-7. As part of the investigation he discovered that the Voyager herself had also been infiltrated and a tricobalt charge had been hidden aboard the vessel in an effort to destroy it. Cadet Teagarden was promoted to Ensign for his efforts and awarded the Starfleet Citation for Conspicuous Gallantry. This also led to his assignment to the Advanced Theoretical Propulsion Group at Utopia Planitia. At the end of 2393, at his father's insistence, Willian transferred to the Tactical Division and was accepted into the Starfleet Advanced Tactical Training Academy where he focused on Intelligence and Strategic Operations. Following this he was assigned to the Bajor Sector and an Intelligence Officer with the rank of Lieutenant for his successful completion of the training course. In further efforts to enhance his son's career, Danheel had arranged the assignment of his son to this posting and further manipulated for Willian to undergo Starfleet Command Training via correspondence from his appointment in the Bajoran Sector. Upon discovering his father's meddling in his career, Willian requested an immediate transfer to a new assignment through Starfleet Intelligence. The request was approved. |
