Personal History Joseph was born in San Francisco, a city known for its diverse culture and breathtaking views. His parents, Sabrina and James, had a seemingly perfect life. Sabrina was passionate about culinary arts and was attending a prestigious culinary school, while James worked tirelessly at the renowned Starfleet Headquarters.

Their home was adorned with a white picket fence, a symbol of their happy life. They even had a lovable dog named Max, who treated Joseph like a brother. Family trips filled their weekends, creating memories for all of them.

But destiny had a different plan for Joseph and his family. One fateful day, Joseph watched in anguish as his father packed his belongings, he had been offered a position on a smaller class ship that didn’t allow for families to live aboard. The lure of serving aboard a starship was too strong for James to resist. Despite Joseph's tears and not wanting him to go, James knew he had to fulfill his dreams. He assured his son he would come back for them.

Joseph was left bitter and angry. He couldn't understand how his father could leave them. His mother, Sabrina tried her best to console him, but Joseph's heartache persisted. As time passed, their once beautiful house started to feel empty, devoid of the joy that once filled its walls.

Years flew by, and Joseph’s parents' feelings for each other lessened. Time and distance soon became an obstacle and eventually, they divorced. Joseph, now twelve, saw his father on rare occasions and longed for the affection of his father. To be able to see him for more than a quick stop here and there.

As fate often does, life took another twist. Joseph's father unexpectedly returned to San Francisco, accompanied by his new wife and their daughter. He had been sent to enroll in a command class at the academy in order to command his own ship one day.

Although it took time, Joseph and his father, James, gained the closeness their relationship once had. Over time, Joseph understood more, the sacrifice his father had taken to fulfill his dream and that it was nothing Joseph or his mother had done.

Little did he know that fate had a peculiar plan in store. Sabrina, a talented chef , was offered a prestigious position as the chef on a starship commanded by none other than Captain Malcom Herrara. He got her a provisional service within Starfleet, something Sabrina had never imagined but knew she could not pass up.

Sabrina hesitated, not wanting to uproot Joseph from his father. They had had only one year together but the reality was that James would soon be leaving once more, to serve on a starship. James and Sabrina sat down with Joseph and came up with a solution that would make Joseph happy. He would remain with his mother and Joseph would travel to see his father during his school break in the summer, if it worked out. It wasn’t the best solution, but it was what Joseph wanted and both of his parents considered his wishes.

Joseph had always been a curious child, but he had never seen anything quite like the starship before. He explored the ship, taking in the expansive hallways, the vast array of buttons and switches in the control room, and the intricate workings of the Engineering department.

He was captivated by the Engineer, Chief Henry Davis, a man with an incredible knowledge of the machines that ran the ship. He followed the Engineer around, mesmerized by the way he could diagnose and repair the engines with ease. He was fascinated by the way the Engineer could take all the complicated parts and assemble them into something that could propel the ship through space.

Joseph asked the Engineer a lot of questions and the Engineer answered them all with patience and enthusiasm. He showed Joseph how the engines worked and how to fix any problems that might arise. Joseph was in awe of the Engineer's skill and knowledge, and he knew he wanted to learn more.

Joseph began to spend most of his free time in the Engineering department. He studied and practiced hard, and soon he had a good grasp of the basics. He then took it upon himself to start making modifications to the engines and other components of the ship.

The Engineer was impressed by Joseph's drive and dedication, and he began to take him under his wing. He taught Joseph more and more, and eventually Joseph was able to make some valuable contributions to the Engineering team.

Joseph's mother was proud of him for finding something he was passionate about and for using his skills to help the crew of the ship. She felt like opening up with his father had given him a confidence he had not had before. This pivotal moment in Joseph's life had opened up a whole new world of opportunity for him.
Joseph was fourteen when his mother made the decision to leave their starship and settle on Station Port Royale. She had always dreamed of opening her own restaurant, and this was her chance to make that dream a reality. Though Joseph was initially hesitant about leaving the adventurous life aboard the starship, he knew how important this opportunity was for his mother. Sabrina was considered a top chef within Starfleet and Captain Herrera had encouraged her to make this move. There was a lot of influence on Port Royale and if she got the right attention it could open more doors for her.

Adjusting to life on the station proved to be a challenge for Joseph. Everything was different— the atmosphere, the people, and the bustling energy of the station. However, Joseph's resilient nature and friendly personality allowed him to quickly make new friends and adapt to his new surroundings.

One friend in particular, Marcus Peterson, became his best friend. The two boys loved sports, video games and both had dreams of entering the academy on Planet Rosa. Marcus wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a pilot, while Joseph had a passion for engineering.

In no time, Joseph became quite popular among his peers. He had an easy charm and a great sense of humor, which made him a favorite in the school. His athletic prowess landed him a spot on the school's football team, where he excelled both in skill and leadership. Joseph's teammates admired his determination and the enthusiasm he brought to the game with his infectious energy.

While Joseph enjoyed the newfound popularity, he never let it overshadow his true passion— engineering. He spent countless hours studying and tinkering with various gadgets, building his knowledge and skills in the field. Joseph's dream was to attend the prestigious Starfleet Academy on Planet Rosa, where he could study to become an engineer and serve in Starfleet.

Joseph's dedication paid off, and he achieved excellent grades in his studies. His teachers and classmates recognized his talent and drive, often seeking his assistance with complex projects. Joseph's mentor, Professor Adams, saw his potential and encouraged him to pursue his dreams with unwavering support.

In addition to his academic achievements, Joseph managed to balance his personal life as well. He dated several girls at his school, each relationship teaching him valuable lessons about love, trust, and sacrifice. These experiences shaped Joseph's perception of relationships, making him more empathetic and understanding towards others.

As Joseph's final year of high school approached, he constantly envisioned his future at Starfleet Academy. He attended college fairs, sought advice from professionals, and even reached out to alumni from the academy. His determination to excel as an engineer in Starfleet grew stronger with each passing day.

Finally, the day arrived when Joseph received his acceptance letter from Starfleet Academy. The sheer joy and excitement he felt were beyond words. It was a testament to his hard work and unwavering dedication. Joseph knew that this was the beginning of an incredible journey, where he would make a real difference in the universe by serving Starfleet as an engineer. He was even happier to discover that Marcus had been accepted and they would be roommates at the academy.

Joseph was also happy to discover that his mother was making some changes in her life as well. She had hired a manager and chef for her ever popular restaurant and on a recommendation from Vice Admiral Martinez was given a command position within Starfleet.. She would be in charge of the chefs and their kitchens at the fleet yards there.

Academy Days

Attending Starfleet Academy was rewarding, but it was also challenging. The workload was intense, and Joseph found himself buried in study materials more often than not. But he didn't mind. He knew that to succeed in his dream of becoming a top officer, he had to give it his all.

Every day, Joseph woke up before dawn, ready to face the challenges ahead. He studied hard, pouring over textbooks, attending lectures, and taking part in rigorous training exercises. Through it all, he could count on Alex's unwavering support. They would often burn the midnight oil together, discussing complex theories and helping each other understand difficult concepts.

Despite the demanding schedule, Joseph always made time for his friends. He firmly believed that his success at the academy wasn't solely dependent on academic achievements, but also on the relationships he built and the experiences he had outside the classroom. He made it a point to spend time with his friends, engaging in activities that allowed him to unwind and recharge. One person in particular was Kerja, a girl he had seen back in school on Port Royale but never gotten close to.

Joseph couldn't help but notice the way Kerja looked at him when they were in class together at the Starfleet Academy on Rosa. He remembered how she had been back in school at Port Royale, where he had been popular and she had kept her distance. He had always wondered if she didn't approve of him, but now he wanted to take a chance.

Joseph approached Kerja and asked her out on a date. She was hesitant, suspecting his motives, but he was persistent. Finally, she relented and agreed to go out with him.

On their first date, Joseph was nervous, trying to make a good impression. He was aware of the fact that Kerja was still suspicious of him, so he tried to be as genuine as possible. He asked her questions about her life and listened attentively to her answers.

To his surprise, Kerja began to open up to him. She talked about her dreams and aspirations, and shared her passion for space exploration. Joseph was captivated by her enthusiasm and by the end of the night, he felt like he had known her his whole life.

After that, Joseph and Kerja went on more dates. They continued to learn more about each other, discovering common interests and dreams. Slowly, Joseph's suspicions began to fade and Kerja's trust in him grew.

Their relationship blossomed and eventually, Kerja was convinced that Joseph was sincere in his feelings for her. They stayed together for many years, cherishing the connection they had forged on their first date.
