Personal History		The Early Years Fynn Cybol McGee was born on May 25, 2380 to Ernest and Demari McGee. He was born and raised on the USS Glasgow. His father was the commanding officer. He is a single child. His parents had tried for years to have a hold, and he was their miracle child. Fynn's both served in Starfleet during the Borg Invasion, Klingon Civil War and the Dominion War. His father almost left Starfleet in 2385, when the Synth attacked Mars and the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. He wasn't going to leave because of the attack, he was more upset that starfleet's decision to abandon the romulan resettlement project. The admiralty feared if they continued to aid the Romulans they would invite more hostile actions within their own borders. Not everyone was happy that the Federation was offering resources to help Admiral Picard relocate the Romulan people. They believed the Admiral was poking the bear. Starfleet Admiralty and the Federation Council did nothing to disway their citizens or their officers. This was a decision his father could not support. If it was not for the XO, Ernest would have left Starfleet. His XO was a good friend of his. Ernest was just five years away from retiring. He decided to stick around till his son graduated high school. Ernest was not very happy to hear that Fynn wanted to join Starfleet. did not hear any of the conversations that he had about Starfleet? Or was he doing this, just to dispite his father? Fynn had heard that Starfleet was trying to change and he wanted to believe it, he was ecstatic just like most of his upperclassmen wearing his high school years that the Federation has started to explore again or at least they made an announcement they were going to and that they had lifted the ban on synthetics. Fynn wanted to be part of it, so despite his father's objections he joined Starfleet. Ben also decided that it would probably best if he left for a while so he decided to attend Starfleet Academy on Bajor. It was one of the most remote places he could possibly go, to get away from his family and to explore Starfleet on his own without influence from his parents. Starfleet Academy: Bajor Fynn had contemplated going to Vulcan or Betazed, he heard how beautiful both places were especially Betazed. But in the end what sold on was the fact that it was the farthest away from his parents he could be. Going to Bajor was completely alienating for him. He had never been to an alien world that worshiped God's has theods as ultimate power. Earth had deities and gods but they weren't the primary focus of the government unlike here on Bajor, they were the main focus. He wondered why starfully decided to put an academy on this planet? Then he realized it probably has something to do with the wormhole. Fynn found it extremely easy to pick up on girls, but none of them could really keep his interest. Most were shallow and only cared about appearances. He had dated a couple of them but they never went anywhere and about 4 months into the academy his freshman year, he admitted Elsa and here was a woman that changed his life. Elsa wanted nothing to do with them which only made him desire her more. He wasn't used to a girl telling him to back off or to go away, part of them thought that this was a challenge, a conquest. His ego had gotten the bathroom at that point but Elsa brought him back down to reality despite the fact that he technically won his challenge but at the cost of his own heart. Fynn discovered that he had true and genuine feelings for her as they started to date later his freshman year. The long game of cat and mouse had worked out for him, when she agreed to give him a chance and the two of them were inseparable from that moment on. Fynn had completed his freshman year, thinking about everything that had gotten to this point. And he believed his father was wrong, seeing how Starfleet was trying to explore again made him just deepen his commitment to Starfleet. At first Fynn wasn't sure if he was going to like working in the intelligence field but after a year he discovered he loved it, despite all the paperwork he had to do. The paperwork seemed like a small price to pay in order to get into this field. Fynn and Elsa were completely unseparable by their sophomore year, there wasn't a place that neither of them would go for the other. After 6 months of intense romance and lustful feelings towards one another they decided who left the relationship to the next level. Fynn gave her a promise ring stating that they would get married after the academy if they still felt the way they did on that day. He knew from that moment on that he wanted to marry her but they both needed to focus on getting their career started. And also to give him time to see if they still truly did want to. That night was the night they decided they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. It was also the first night where Fynn realized how deep he had fallen for her. It scared him but in a good way. They continue today for two more years and officially get engaged the day they graduate from the academy. Fynn was assigne to Valhalla Fleet Yards and much to his surprise so was Elsa.
