Personal History EARLY YEARS:

Julie was born in San in Francisco 2378, the youngest of two children. Her parents were both laborers and worked hard to provide for their families.

Julie loved school from her first day and was always serious about doing her best and getting good grades. She excelled and schoolwork seemed to come easy to her.

Julie was eight years old when she became friends with Jake Davis. Julie thought he was funny, and he liked to go on adventures and discover new things. Jake lived not far from Julie's family, and they spent a lot of time at each other's house.

They were in high school when they had visitors from Starfleet on Career Day. Julie had wanted to go into Operations or Security. Her parent's marriage had started to fall apart, and both her brother and Julie wanted to graduate and go to the academy, getting away from the constant turmoil at home. To Julie's surprise, she found an interest in Engineering. It felt to her like a calling. Jake had decided on security.

It was during they're junior year of high school that Jake met Vera Smalligan. He fell head over heels for her. Julie wanted to be happy for Jake, but she could see Vera was using him. He was like a puppet on a string. She tried to talk to him but instead, Jake was angry, and they had an argument. Julie regretted it and tried several times to talk to him, but Jake avoided her. A few days later he died in a car accident, Vera was with him.

Julie felt alone for the first time in her life and couldn't handle what had happened and not having that peace with Jake. She struggled for a while and finally with the help of her counselor learned to deal with what had happened.

Her senior year, Julie knuckled down and worked hard on her school studies. She graduated at the top of her class and left home, following her brother to the academy.

Academy Days:

Julie flourished at the academy. She majored in Engineering with a minor in operations. Julie immersed herself in her classes and was lucky enough to have become friends with her roommate at the academy. Julie found Marguerite fun to hang out with. They spent many Saturday nights going out on the town or attending a party.

Julie graduated at the top of her class. She was mentored by her teachers when they saw her affinity to engineering and how good she was at it as well as her exceptional learning processes. Julie graduated in the top of her class and was pleased that her brother was able to attend her graduation.

Starfleet Years:

In 2399, Julie was assigned to the USS Superior, a young ensign with stars in her eyes. She embraced her position and worked hard, wanting to show her chief and those above her that she was serious about the job and was someone they could count on.

While serving there, Julie met and dated Mike Johnson. He was an assistant chief in operations and things started to get serious when he was sent on a mission. During the mission, Mike was killed in a freak accident. Julie felt like it was Jake all over again and swore off relationships. It seemed whenever she got close to anyone, something bad happened to them. Julie put all her time and energy into her job and after three years was increased in rank to Lt. JG.

In late 2403, Julie accepted a promotion to Assistant Engineering Chief and was transferred to the USS Huron. She embraced the position and found that she and her chief had like opinions on the way the department should be run. Julie also found herself making some friends there. Her career was taking off in ways she had not imagined.

In 2305, Julie was offered and accepted the position of Chief Engineer on Port Royale. It was with mixed feelings that she left her former position, leaving behind friends and a chief she had learned so much from. Julie reminded herself that it was a part of the job.
