General Overview		Austin is serious minded when on the job. He takes great pride in his work and always wants to keep the crew safe. Off of work he is an all round happy guy. He loves to play games, sports and is highly competitive.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Hardworking and dependable. He is attentive and aware of his surroundings. A team player, he listens to orders and is not afraid to speak up if he has an option or feels that something isn't working. Austin has no patience for laziness and someone doing half a job. He hates paperwork and meetings that drag on to long.

Personal History		Austin was born February 2, 2380., the youngest of three sons. His father was the command office on Starbase 47. His mother had passed away when he was seven,in a shuttle accident on her way to the base. Their father dated a few times but nothing ever seemed to come of it. He just didn’t seem ready yet. Austin and his brothers were very close. They loved to wander the base and like all young boys they could get themselves into mischief. They would set off alarms on the promenade, one time they loosened the legs on a table for a buffet in a restaurant and it collapsed in the middle of dinner hour. The boys took their dads comm badge and booby trapped their fathers ready room. When he walked in a pail of water dumped on his head. Austin’s father took his job as Command officer of the base seriously and had high expectations for the crew and believed in the rules of the Federation. He ran his home the same way. These pranks were a mark on his record, in his eyes. Austin and his brothers knew on any given day they could end up in trouble. Grounded to their rooms, timeout or some punishment that their dad felt justified for their rule breaking. He never laid a hand on them and he made sure they had what they needed and he always made sure they had a special day on their birthdays and Christmas. Austin did okay in school, he got bored and sometimes his mind strayed. He didn’t see the point to learning all this stuff and wondered how it would help him when he got out of school. It seemed like a waste of time to him. Just like all those rules his father had for them. When he for bored he would shoot rubber bands at the class bully or he and his friends would start messing around to annoy the teacher. Austin was a sophomore in high school when he decided he was going into Starfleet. His brother Axel had graduated last year and headed to medical school. James was leaving next year to go to the academy and into engineering. Austin wanted to go into security. To do that he needed to grow up and stop with the games .To his fathers relief there were no more incidents. When Austin was a junior in high school he met and fell for Melody Frazier. They started dating and Austin fell for her hard. Things seemed to be going well until Melody’s father was transferred off the base. Austin didn’t want Melody to go but she didn’t have a choice. Austin has felt his first heartbreak. He buried himself in his school work and surprisingly enough he followed his fathers strict household rules. Austin actually got along with his father his last year of high school. His dad was still a little crazy about order but that was just who he was. His father had been seeing someone and he seemed pretty serious. It helped that Austin had grown out of causing trouble. His father wasn’t mean he just had a set way of doing things. It wasn’t long and Austin graduated from high school and headed off to the academy on Earth. STARFLEET ACADEMY - EARTH Austin started his training at the academy on earth in 2398. He loved living on his own, he didn’t have to make his bed if he didn’t want to and there was no one to complain. Except his roommate Walter Bradley. Walter was going into security as well and they became fast friends. Austin embraced his classes and was soon buried in homework and security labs. Unlike the schoolwork on the base, he found his classes interesting. Austin and Walter became study partners and worked together to help each other get good grades. During his third year at the academy, Austin was on his way back to his room when he heard his name and saw Melody coming towards him. Austin didn’t know how to react. He hadn’t seen her since they broke up back on the base. She acted like they were picking up right where they left off. Austin took her out for lunch and as he sat and listened to her he wondered what he had ever seen in her. They weren’t the same people or maybe it was that he wasn’t. Instead of being that immature young boy he was a man now and accepted responsibility for what he did and who he was. She seemed like she hadn’t grown up. Besides that, they had nothing in common. She was at the academy to find a husband, he wasn’t looking for a wife he wanted his career first. Austin tried to let her down easy. He explained how he felt and Melody left in a huff. Probably off to find some unsuspecting man. Austin felt like he was lucky to have escaped . His senior year, Austin did some intern work at Starfleet Headquarters with security. He was excited to shadow some of their officers and was encouraged by how well they seeemed to think he had done. Austin’s belief that this was the career for him had been reinforced. He graduated from the academy with honors and was glad to see his Dad there. He had brought his fiancé with him. Austin could tell his father loved her by the way he looked at her. He was glad, his dad deserved some happiness. USS ALABAMA In 2402, Austin was assigned to the USS Alabama. He went right in and went to work, doing the grunt work that all new security officers were responsible for. He did ‘t complain and he volunteered whenever there was an extra shift or something came up that needed to be done. Austin wanted to be on a fast track for promotion and he remembered what his father had told him. They look for hard workers who don’t complain. His second year there he started dating Daphne Morrow, a science officer on board. He told her up front he wasn’t looking for forever at this point in his career. She felt the same, they were both on a fast track for promotion and knew that more than likely one of them wouldn’t be there long. They enjoyed spending time together, they had chemistry, just not the kind that said it was going to last. A few months down the road. Daphne accepted a transfer just before Austin was promoted to chief assistant. The chief had to take an emergency leave and the assistant was promoted. Austin was excited and he called and told his Dad. It seemed his father had news as well. He and Cheryl, his fiancé had gone and gotten married. His Dad also told him he was going to be a brother. His wife was pregnant. Austin was a little shocked at first but once it really hit him he was happy for his Dad. He had found happiness a second time. Austin knew he hadn’t been serving for a long time but he was pushing for a chief position. He stepped in and helped out his command officer whenever he could. He wanted his name to be the first to come up if a position opened. Three years to the day he came on board he was transferred to Valhalla Fleet Yards to serve on the USS Dragonstar as security chief. USS DRAGONSTAR In 2405, Ethan was transferred to the USS Dragonstar as the chief security officer. He was excited and called and let his father and brothers know. Ethan felt happy to hear his dad tell him how proud he was of him and that his mother would be too. His dad had gotten married the year before. It seemed strange to him but his father was a new Dad at 46. They had twin girls. Ethan had been surprised at first but as long as his Dad was happy that was what mattered.
