Personal History Analiese was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Both of her parents were attorneys and kept long hours. Analiese and her brother and sister had a nanny, Mallory, who took care of them. She became like a favored aunt to them. She took them to the park to play and they went to the zoo, amusement parks and on trips in the summer.

Analiese and her siblings were sent to a prestigious boarding school when each of them reached five years old. They were undisciplined and out of control and they hoped this would straighten them out. Their parents wanted to give them every advantage so they could grow up and have a good education for their futures. Analiese really missed Mallory. She had taught them there was a whole world of fun out there.

Analiese wasn’t at the school very long when she became friends with Astra Malone. They were like two peas in a pod. The only time they were apart was when they had to go home for holidays. It wasn’t so bad to be there for a few days. Analiese and her siblings would spend time together and they would see their parents in the evening if they weren’t working on an important case. Analiese knew that their careers came first.

When Analiese turned twelve, her friend Astra’s parents invited her to spend the summer with them. Analiese had the best summer ever. Analiese’s parents took them camping, to the movies. They had the summer planned out and Astra and Analiese had so much fun.

Analiese was beginning to understand her parents more. It wasn’t that they didn’t love them, they just lived in their world and had certain expectations and futures mapped out for their children. It was all a part of their plan.

Analiese and Astra were sharing a room at the boarding school now. Astra played the flute and Analiese was in the choir. She had an amazing voice but she hated being the center of attention.

When Analiese was sixteen she met a boy while she was waiting for Astra to finish with her flute lesson. His name was Esus and he was from Betazed, his parents were diplomats to Earth. They hit it off right away and he asked her if she wanted to hang out later and soon they were dating. Not that they went out anywhere much but they spent a lot of time together. Astra had met a boy and the two girls were in love. They would sneak out at night to have time together.

Analiese knew her parent’s plan for her was to go to a prestigious college and become a lawyer or something she had no interest in. When she mentioned she wanted to go into medicine they right away started talking about the best private colleges and inow she could have her own practice and maybe marry another doctor. Analiese wanted to go into Starfleet. Esus was going there as well. They would graduate and get married. That was their dream.

Esus and Analiese talked about their families and their lives. Analiese stressed how important it was to her that they live their own lives and raise their children differently than she was. She wasn’t putting her parents down, she just wanted to be more of a part of their lives. Esus agreed with her but Analise felt he wasn’t telling her something and when she mentioned it he denied it.

Analiese dated Esus their junior year and up until Christmas. When they went on break, Analiese had wanted him to stay at rhe boarding school with her during break but he insisted he had to go home. Analiese spent the holidays with Astra and her family.

When school resumed, Analiese saw a change in Esus. He seemed distant and she knew she wasn’t exaggerating. She finally confronted him and he spilled the truth. He was in an arranged marriage. It was a tradition back on his home world and he was not free to marry Analiese. He didn’t tell her because he didn’t want her upset but there was no way he could get out of it.

Analiese was shocked. She wanted to cry but she held back her tears with everything in her. She had been intimate with him in ways only possible with Betazed and now he was telling her it was all a sham. She told him to never speak to her again and walked away.

Analiese was grateful for her friendship with Astra. She listened to her when she was angry and held her when she cried. Analiese knew she couldn’t go on this way so she buried herself in her studies. She was going to go to medical school and forget about Esus. He would settle for a life his parents had planned for him but she wasn’t going to do that. She was going to live her own life.

Analiese graduated from high school with high honors. Against her parents wishes she had applied and been accepted for Starfleet medical school on Vulcan, far away from all influence. Astra was going there as well into the intelligence program.

STARFLEET ACADEMY - VULCAN

In 2400, Analiese was excited to begin her courses at the academy. She had already taken her pre-med courses at the private boarding school she attended so she was excellerated to the second year teen after passing extensive testing.

As they did at boarding school, Astra and Analiese shared a room. There was no flute or singing practice just a lot of studying. Halfway through the year, Astra met yet another guy. Analiese just shook her head. She didn’t have time to date, not if she wanted to start her internship next year. Only the top four were able to intern early and Analiese was number three at the moment.

Analiese spent the rest of her academy year working as hard as she could to keep her grades up so that she would be eligible. The instructor for her class was super hard on everyone. Analiese hated to be chosen to answer one of the questions asked because he was critical of every answer, trying to pick holes in the answer. It came down to the wire, Analiese kept waivering between the fifth and fourth slot. When the list was posted she came in third. Analiese had gotten high marks on the last test.

The third and fourth years at the academy. Analiese interned at a hospital and attended classes. It was a heavy load but worth it. She enjoyed working at the hospital, even though she would be on a starship it gave her a taste of her future.

Anasliese and Astra enjoyed their graduation. They dressed up and after the ceremony went out to dinner. Astra had given up on dating …again. They enjoyed their evening and then went home and laid on their beds and talked late into the night. Tomorrow, Astra left for Earth to board the USS Zenith, while Analiese was going to Port Royale to intern under the chief medical officer there for one year.

PORT ROYALE

In 2404, Analiese arrived at Port Royale excited and ready to work. She met with Dr. Halverson,, who was going to be her mentor. Analiese immediately felt comfortable around her and knew they were going to get along well. She was grateful that Dr. Halverson put her straight to work.

Over the next few months Analiese worked long hours. She helped with physicals, follow up appointments and took on call shifts. She knew she would like being a doctor but she didn’t imagine how much. It was rewarding to help the patients who came in sick and left feeling much better.

One of the things that had been stressed at the academy was that no matter how much they talked about it, one could never be prepared for the loss of a patient. Analiese had treated a patient who was injured in a shuttle accident. She had done everything she could and he had still died. Analiese did her best to remain composed when she wanted to fall apart. Dr. Halverson ordered her to take the rest of the evening off. She started to argue but realized that was what she needed. Analiese went home and cried herself to sleep.

The end of the year was coming and Analiese had no idea where she was being assigned. She had just finished with a patient when Vice Admiral Martinez came walking in and requested a meeting with her and Dr. Halverson. Analiese was really nervous. Had she done something wrong? She sat down and waited. Vice Admiral Martinez told her he had gotten high praise on her internship in Port Royale. That he was looking for a doctor to fill the chief medical position on the USS Dragonstar. He was assigning her there straight off her internship due to her recommendations.

In 2405, Analiese was assigned to the USS Dragomstar.
